A provider who gets you โ not just your symptoms
Kesher Health connects the Israeli community in the US with healthcare providers who share the same culture, background, and way of seeing the world. Because the best care isn't just medical โ it's human.

Cultural connection changes everything in healthcare
"You don't just want a doctor who speaks Hebrew. You want a doctor who knows what it means to live between two cultures, to raise kids across two countries, to navigate an American system that never quite feels like home."
There are roughly half a million Israelis living in the United States. They are professionals, students, new parents, aging parents, and everything in between. When they get sick, they don't just want competent care โ they want care that feels familiar. Kesher exists to make that possible.
Why Culture Matters
Language is just the beginning
Yes, other platforms let you filter by language. But Israelis seeking Israeli providers are after something deeper โ a shared frame of reference that changes the entire experience of care.
Shared context, not just shared words
An Israeli patient doesn't need to explain why they distrust certain medications, or what their family's relationship to doctors looks like. An Israeli provider already knows. That implicit understanding creates a level of trust no translator can manufacture.
Different norms, different expectations
Israeli patients tend to be direct, skeptical, and highly engaged. They ask questions, push back on diagnoses, and want explanations โ not just instructions. A culturally matched provider doesn't just tolerate that. They expect it.
Your Israeli medical history, finally readable
Most American providers can't make sense of Israeli medical records โ the language, the format, the referencing system are all different. An Israeli-background provider can actually read your history, not just acknowledge it exists. That continuity of care can make a real clinical difference.
Why Generic Directories Fall Short
Filtering by language isn't the same as finding your people
Generic directories can tell you who speaks Hebrew. Kesher tells you who understands you.

Our Story
Born from personal experience
Kesher Health started with a simple, frustrating moment: trying to find a doctor for a family member who had just moved to the US and needed ongoing care โ not just any doctor, but one who would understand where they were coming from.
The usual workarounds โ WhatsApp groups, Facebook communities, word of mouth โ worked, barely. But they were fragile, incomplete, and exhausting. And they weren't a product. They were improvisation.
We built Kesher as the resource this community deserves: a real directory, thoughtfully curated, built around cultural fit rather than just credentials or insurance networks.
Every provider is verified. Every listing is free. And every patient deserves a doctor who gets them โ not just their chart.
The moment
A family member moves to the US and needs a doctor โ not just any doctor, but one who truly understands their background. The search is harder than it should be.
The gap
We discover there's no good answer. General directories have language filters. WhatsApp groups have recommendations. But nothing built for cultural fit.
The idea
What if the Israeli-American community had its own dedicated, verified, free directory โ built around cultural connection, not just spoken language?
Building Kesher
We reach out to providers across the country, verify backgrounds, and build a search experience that reflects how this community actually finds care.
The mission ahead
Building toward non-profit status so Kesher remains independent, community-governed, and free โ forever.
What We Stand For
Our guiding principles
01
Cultural fit over credential lists
Degrees and board certifications matter, but so does whether your doctor understands the world you come from. We optimize for both.
02
Community, not just a directory
Kesher is built for a specific community, by people who belong to it. We're a resource, not a product โ and we plan to remain that way.
03
Free for patients, always
We're building toward non-profit status because healthcare access infrastructure should not be paywalled. Finding a great provider shouldn't cost anything.
04
Privacy by design
We collect only what is necessary. We never sell patient data. Health is personal โ and so is everything we build around it.
